Apparently they’re thinking about trades in Minnesota:

Timberwolves trade rumors abound, one of which involves a deal with Charlotte for the Wolves’ No. 3 overall pick in Thursday’s NBA draft for the Bobcats’ No. 9 pick and 6-8 shooting guard Adam Morrison. The Wolves aren’t commenting.

Is there even the slightest possibility that the Wolves do this?

Of course, trading the number three pick is a predictable move, and a totally justified one, considering the glut of young guys booked for development time in Minnesota.

But giving it up for Adam Morrison? Kevin McHale isn’t the greatest mind in America, but he’s not Chris Wallace. McHale would have to realise he can get reasonable value for the first non-Beasley-or-Rose pick.

Trading for Morrison guarantees just one thing: your bench will boast a busted white guy with a grotesque moustache, surprisingly terrible jumpshot and a tendency towards injury. And if they want that, can’t they just call Erik Spoelstra and see if Jason Williams is available? I’m sure Jason would be willing to throw out his razors.
